IS IT WORTH IT? |Sephora Favorites Summer Essentials 2018
Alright, so I bought this because I thought it came with a mini Bum Bum Cream… However… Just take this in for a sec: (pictured side by side, with ugly background removed)
But it’s so cute I ain’t even mad. I wonder how much this teeny tiny tub would retail for… Has anyone else noticed that the Glamglow mini tubs are like $27 for 15mL but if you get the same product in an ugly squeeze tube they’re only $15…? That price per volume is the same as buying the stuff in the value size. Anyone? Just me? #timetofindarealjob
Also, this kit features a lot of good brands that contain non-toxic ingredients. It doesn’t contain a full routine like the Travel Kit does as it contains many products that do the same thing. Two moisturizers, two masks, two facial mists, two body lotions, two hair products, and two face products that come in sheets (that’s a category okay?).
This kit is $42 CAD (I usually do these posts in USD, but this kit hasn’t launched online yet) with a stated value of $126. It’s such a cute little summer set that I could imagine taking to the beach or pool. I’m not gonna be doing either, but I could imagine doing so and being fabulous and pulling out this chic bag full of goodies.
Anyways, as per usual, I like to do the math on these value sets because I get such a high off “saving money” and “discovering” a deal. It helps me justify either returning or keeping these sets. Soooooo with that said, let’s go!

Uh, someone really messed up… sometimes a small discrepancy in the math is from the retail value of travel sizes etc, but this is just BAD math y’all. It would have been more forgivable if the Bum Bum cream came in the actual mini size. The picture was a little misleading because the 25mL sizes usually comes in a tube… Like it does in the Travel Kit. But anyways, the actual utility and skintertainment factor for this kit is mediocre. I just think for an extra $8, you could get a much better BANG for your buck with the travel kit. The packaging is really pretty though, so if you pick this up, I don’t blame ya.
